How long has it been since you had a huge chocolate dipped cone from the DQ with your kids? How long has it been since you took your kids to a park for a picnic and actually played together?
How long has it been since you took your son or daughter on a "date" and listened to them? How long has it been since you prayed with your child? How long has it been since you took your child to church?
For some, it has been a long, long time. For others, just last week or yesterday! The time we invest in the lives of our children will forever be etched in their minds. What are you "etching" in your child's mind is the question. The Bible says that the things of this world will pass away but His Word, His love, times spent with Him will last forever. So, the times you spend with your child in fun are important but the times you spend with your child in the Word of God will last an eternity!
We invite you to bring your child to New Life and as a family, learn the truths of God's Word.
I hope to see you, your kids, your neighbor's kids, the community kids at New Life Baptist Church this summer. Check out Vacation Bible School June 13 - 18, and KidZone each Sunday morning at 9:45 am, and yes, Awana will be back in the Fall! Get busy "etching" the things of God in your child's mind to last them an eternity!
